We’re Here!

We made it to Tokyo! Once we got off the plane, we had to find our way by train to Shinjuku, where the Sakura House office is located, so we could sign the lease on our apartment. Then, we took the train up to Komagome and let ourselves into our apartment, unpacked and relaxed a minute before heading downstairs to go to the drug store (located across the street from our apartment), the grocery store (three or four doors down from our apartment) and for some food at the Chinese restaurant beneath our apartment. The food was awesome!

We were so tired after shopping and eating, we just went back to the apartment and fell asleep. This morning we were shocked when we woke up at 6:30am, wide awake. We’ve spent the morning looking up bike shops around Tokyo, reading, playing video games and drinking some of the bottled coffee I made Jermaine buy at the grocery store last night. He was really unsure of it but I insisted that it was good. After drinking some when we got up, he is anxious to have more once he gets out of the shower.

PS: Jermaine has just informed me that the spray-on deodorant he bought last night “burns like a son-of-a-bitch.”
